Call for speed limit reduction on Wicks Dr

Most residents in the neighbourhood (specially living on Wicks Drive) do not realize that the speed limit on Wicks is as high as 50 km an hour (this might be the same for all residential streets in Ajax). Surely this heavily residential street deserves a limit that's more than 10 km an hour less than major arterial roads such as Salem and Kingston.

Reduce the speed limit on Wicks Dr from 50 km an hour to 35 km an hour. This is for two reasons: 1) It's a heavily populated residential street extensively used as a short-cut to Hwy 401 by non-residents. 2) It runs adjacent to a multi-stream public school zone (Cadarackque PS). The impact of making this change will be: 1) Improved pedestrian safety, 2) Displace the need (and cost) for structural traffic calming measures.
